Djokovic steps in...and steps up

After a much-needed recovery day on Friday, Djoker was on the short
end of Saturday's doubles. But today he stopped Berdych in four sets
to draw Serbia level at 2-2 with the Czechs. If Tipsy can pull off
the fifth rubber, I give the Serbs a much better chance in the DC
final (vs France) than the Czechs would have had.

Fuck, I missed Djoker's match.

Tipsy just started against Stepanek.

If Tispsy wins, they will play at home against France.
Their problem is that their are a two-men team. Both of them have to be
fit, whereas France almost have the guarantee to have 3-4 solid players
available at the same time. In december Tsonga should be back and Simon
should continue to get better.

If Serbia wins Davis Cup, Djokovic will be greater player than Federer -
having won a slam and Davis cup, while fed has only won slams.

France has excellent depth, no doubt about it.

But Serbia may have enough --one top singles player (Djokovic), two
competent #2 guys (Tipsarevic and Troicki) and a top doubles player
(Zimonjic). It could be a great final, but yes, if anything goes
wrong with Djoker's form or fitness, their hopes are sunk.

Meanwhile, Stepanek could moot the question by beating Tipsy. Let's
see how it plays out.

Yes, not a two-man team by any means. Troicki almost beat Djokovic at
USO:

Yeah, and Wawrinka actually beat Murray at USO.

But Troicki is the 3rd man. And anyone beats Murray anyway.
