thanks, Loki, for this correction. I've just checked my dictionary
and now I know (I think!) that moindre is the adjective and moins the
adverb. Hopefully I can use that to guide me in the future because my
cloth ears are unlikely to make the distinction.

Sorry for not catching that yesterday but I just heard the supper bell ringing :D)
