SB1225: Landlords that rent to undocumented humans to be charged with class 3 felony in Arizona

I am adding to a previous article that discussed how liberal groups such
as SOMOS America, LULAC, and Kyrsten Sinema know about the abuses of
Paton’s coyote bill, which led to ARS 13-2319 and filed a complaint
(below) against the misuse which resulted because of the definition under
the law of human smuggling and drop houses.

It was originally intended to go after human smugglers, but the law
defined “Human smuggling” as:

ARS 13-2319
“Smuggling of human beings” means the transportation, procurement of
transportation or use of property or real property by a person or an
entity that knows or has reason to know that the person or persons
transported or to be transported are not United States citizens, permanent
resident aliens or persons otherwise lawfully in this state or have
attempted to enter, entered or remained in the United States in violation
of law.

Note that there is NO mention of being held against thei
will or what we
might think of when we think of human trafficking. ANY transportation of
undocumented people is “human smuggling.”

This bill was passed in 2005 and indeed, as a result of it, there has been
a recent epidemic of “human smuggling” when in fact Border Patrol was
busted people for giving rides for family or friends that didn’t have
their papers.

Now there is a new bill SB1225, co-sponsored by the likes of Ron Gould,
the guy who authored the 14th amendment bills and who has a “Don’t tread
on me” sticker on his laptop which he displays in the state legislature,
which aims to make Paton’s law, without any modification to its misuse, a
class 3 felony.

The author of SB1225 says that the operator of the drop house must be
profiting from the drop house for their class 3 felony to apply, but under
Arizona law, if any landlord knowingly rents to an undocumented person,
they are not “operating a drop house.” And since they are profiting from
the rental agreement, now a bunch of landlords who are simply renting to
immigrant families are now ready to be charged with being human
traffickers.

And it's about time too.

Very good. Wish we could lynch those who knowingly employ illegals.

Good . The fuckers need to be prosecuted for hauling around their
family and friends that are illegal . That is human smuggling . Just
like hauling around a bag of drugs from over the border is drug
smuggling .
give them life if you can not execute them
