I'm not a real bisexual, apparently; I loathe the stuff.

That's OK, it's not a compulsory perversion :-)

Whew, what a relief. I've been worried about the whole barbecue-ripple
thing, too. Can you reassure me on that front, as well?

Serene, ever hopeful

Of course. None of this stuff is compulsory.

Perversion should never be compulsory. (That's part
of what "safe-sane-consensual" means...) Anything
is open to negotiation, but it isn't tacitly assumed
that anything in particular is "normally" expected.

To my mind, that is closer to the essence of the
distinction of "kink" and "vanilla" than the question
of whether specific activities (bondage? impact play?
etc.) are included...

Better ask Ciarán about that. I've been worried sick about it, too (sick
being the operative word in the case of BBQ~ :-) And then there was the
whole Chocolate Frog thang...

(that is long and probably needs joining together if Usenet has split
the line up). The post says:

Chocolate Frog:
Equal measures Bailey's, Creme de Menthe, cream, Creme de Cacao
(It says here "Blame it on Tanaqui")

If I recall correctly (and my memory of that party is understandably
hazy), Tanaqui said she went into a bar and ordered one, and had to
explain to the bartender how to make it. When he brought the drink, he
asked why it was called a Chocolate Frog. Tanaqui turned on her sweetest
smile and said "Haven't you ever seen a frog go through a blender before?"

:-)

Oh my, oh my. What a lot of memories reading that thread brings back.
The
world seemed such a small place in those days.

I actually found a barman prepared to make me a chocolate frog about
two
years ago, although he had to look it up in a book. He'd asserted that
have
any cocktail I could think of. I'm pretty sure it was the first time
I'd had
one since THAT party.
