electric shock collar for testicles, is it safe?

Luke
30.12.2009 - 06:58
I have often seen descriptions of a remote control electric shock collar
which some people use around the testicles. I believe the device used
is an electric dog collar (InnoTech is one of the manufacturers). I'm
really fascinated by this device, it seems so evil and frightening, so
of course I would like my fiance to be able to use one on me.

Now I'm wondering, are these devices safe? Can they cause any permanent
damage? Do any companies make better (and safer) devices than others?
If anyone has any experience with these, or descriptions of how they
feel, I would love to hear.

Thanks,
Luke

I guess you want t real answer, not the silly one then. Well we would need
to know more about the collar and its contact points etc.
Remember if this is one of the dog ones, they have fur, and unless you do,
then the connection is going to be much more intimate.

In the main its probably safe insofar that its unlikely to kill you, but
depending on the voltage, connection ac or dc and the current then, well
lets hope you are still friends with the person applying the shock
afterwards...

Hunt through google's ssbb archive for shock collar posts. With luck
you will find Shirley Chong's excellent posts about same.

I haven't any experience with electric shocks to the testicles,
or to any other body parts, for erotic purposes, and it'll be a Cold
Day before I try it. The electric shocks I've had have been minor,
and definitely not intentional. That's only me, though. Others report
electric shock can be erotic or, as you suggest, can induce erotic
fear.

An American firm called Folsom Electric are the makers of devices
for your application. They seem to sell electrodes specifically for
shocking testicles, and devices to generate the shocks. You might
investigate them further. Several other firms are in the same
business, though I haven't got their names to hand at the moment.
I have no relationship to Folsom Electric, or to any firm making
electro-shock devices and do not know anything of them first-hand.
I have only just read some of their adverts. (And thought to myself,
'Not I!!')

There are in addition medical devices called Trans-cutaneous
Electrical Nerve Stimulators (TENS). Those are manufactured for use
on the human body, though I doubt their makers intend them for use on
testicles.

Shirley Chong, who used to post to SSBB, is a dog trainer, and
has made comments about dog shock collars in past. I respect her
opinions. I haven't the time now to research what she wrote, but
perhaps in a day or two. (I make no promise, though.)

Safety, I think, is a relative thing. A small shock would not
likely cause any permanent bodily damage. A sufficiently large shock
would no doubt cause electrical burns and loss of the anatomic
function of producing sperm. Finding the middle ground--a shock that
is evil and frightening, painful even, but which does not cause any
irreversible damage to your body--could be difficult. With the human
body, there is also possibile damage which does not appear immediately,
but only after some period of time. Some consequences of injuries
may not appear for days, weeks, or months.

Then again, it doesn't require electrical shock to cause
permanent damage to testicles. Simple mechanical force applied in
large enough quantity will crush them, for instance.

I'd suggest not starting with a dog collar, but you are in a
better position than I to judge what you desire to do.

It appears you might wish to begin a research programme in
the near future. I think it safe to say the readers of SSBB would
appreciate reading of your conclusions.

wikipedia.org has this under Safety:
...
Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation
...
TENS electrodes should never be placed:
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
* On or near the eyes
* In the mouth
* Transcerebrally (on each temple)
* On the front of the neck (due to the risk of acute hypotension
through a vasovagal reflex)
* Directly on the groin such as on penis or testicles
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
* On areas of numb skin/decreased sensation
* On broken skin areas or wounds
* On or near the trigeminal nerve if you have a history of herpes
zoster induced trigeminal neuralgia (Postherpetic neuralgia)

TENS should also be used with caution in people with epilepsy or
pregnant women (do not use over area of the uterus as the effects of
electrical stimulation over the developing fetus are not known). TENS
should not be used by people with an artificial cardiac pacemaker
due to risk of interference and failure of their implanted device.
Possible failure of these warnings can result in a cardiac arrhythmia.

Probably that is a caution worth heeding.

Well, in the past I've played with electric shocks, and some say that its
more erotic to use penetrations than surface electrodes, but I've not tried
that. All I can say is hi frequency ac of a high voltage but current limited
can.
Burn if allowed to spark but can be erotic and itchy wile its going on, but,
if the burns are infected, you got problems as often you need antibiotics
to get rid of the nastiest.

It can be itchy and quite present though in direct connection too, but if
its pain you are after, then big juicy DC is what you need, and I'd say, get
a good alibi as to why you walk funny afterwards, as there are muscles under
there that can spasm and this can affect you back and crotch, giving pain
like you have been kicked in the nuts, so please beware.
I intentionally have not mentioned voltage and current here, as its all a
bit hazy now, it was when I was young and an idiot with lots of electronic
bits to play with!

Its a good idea to get one and measure the short circuit current on a meter
before you strt, and of course the voltage.
I'd not use one on a dog myself, but people are probably OK grin.

Oh dear...
The old ones are the best they say... I think they might have been drunk

Anyway, the next part of this thread needs to talk about electric fly swats
and violet wands.

Yes. It's always nice to be beaten to the punch by folk such as
SilverOz who are providing useful information. She may do it to me
any time.

With regard to speed of being beaten to the punch: I am often
rather slow at replies to messages because ordinarily I check news
only once per day, if that.

Note for Luke: I don't know what Google is now showing for
any particular search. Some days it seems to miss some number of
messages that were previously there. Other days it displays lots
more. Thus far, I have not got into my own archive of old messages.
